vdo guage problem

hi all, right i have read the thread in the mk2 section so i kind of know what i am doing but i have power to the oil temp but it just reads off the clock, then when i connect the wire from the temp sender it still just reads 170?? any ideas what is wrong, also where is the oil preshure sender on a DX?? cheers  :smiley:

oh, i am taking the power from the vaults guage which works fine! is this a problem??  :smiley:

i think you need power, earth  and signal to all apart from batt volts, are you sure the sender is working ok? i had this problem, apparently there is a double resistor in the guage and one often breaks.  :smiley:
i must buy a new car!
