PLEASE HELP ME!!! GOLF MK3 1.8 PROBLEMS
« on: 14 May 2007, 08:44 »
Hi all

Sorry if i have put this question in the wrong place im still an newbie!!!

basically i have a 1997 golf mk3 1.8 driver.
and the problem is. when i first start the car after not using it for a good couple of hours. like going to cinema or in the morning. when i go to start it, the tick over is to low (2-3) so it conks out. so after holding my foot on the accelerator for a while and driving using my hand brake for braking in fear of the revs dropping .
after say 15mins of this tricky driving it works fine and the tick over is at 10. where as when it first start its at like 2-3!!!!  i took it to a garage and had it looked at, where they found that the the rubber block under the mono-point injector had broken, which would of made sense. so i replaced it and yet still the problem persistes
so if anyone has any idea that would be great thanks!

give the temp sensor a change......can be a cure all for this engine as it controls the ecu as well as the gauge
