Mainbeam after single h/l conversion

the car im thinkin of buying had a headlight conversion done and mainbeam doesnt work, hed been meaning put em on for a while put em on the other week to make it lok nicer and now it dont work?

what does any1 think it may be, just take it an electrician?

hes knocked 300 of askin price due to that and the handle being loose, so cant negotiate anymore

Does the main beam light on the dash come on?, should not be a big deal to fix.

Check the basics first it could be something simple, are the bulbs ok? Look at the connections to the lights themselves. My mk2 left main light wasn't working. I had a look at the connection block and it didn't have the metal wire that holds them together properly. So I cleaned the connection and tried it with the other side?s wire which did the job. A garage could have charged me an hour?s work for that.

Mine was blue on the mk2, it just seemed strange that taking the spots off would make both not work
