Mk2 Exhaust Mount

I have a reoccuring exhaust fixing problem! the last mount towards the rear has rusted through and its causing grief. I have put a big washer and bolt through but it keeps coming loose and have also welded it - didnt last. Does anyone know an alternative method?

Back box mount?

I put a bolt straight through and its done the job.

Did you use a stick welder? Those welds wont last a minute! :laugh:

You running a heavy aftermarket exhaust system?

I drilled through one of the vertical bits on the bracket mount and bolted an L bracket to it which I then bolted the Mount to.
