DIY WUR Mod - will this do the job???
«

Finally managed to get my gauge and lines cobbled together:
The k-jet lines are joined by 8mm id hose.
Anyone confirm if this will work or is it a bag of sh|t!!!
Cheers

its not fuel injection hose
But it is high pressure stuff!
Do I just need to buy some 8mm id fuel hose then?
Is the idea right though???

any idea what bar its rated to and if it can take fuel without melting?
apart from that I'd keep a close eye on the connectins to make sure they arnt leaking while its running.

I'll check with my supplier (dad!)
I'm pretty sure the hose will take the pressure, maybe not the joints though!!!
Any other suggestions to join it all up?

or would I be better off getting 6mm id fuel hose and clamping it directly on the metal section of the kjet fuel lines??
why is it so complicated to get this setup going!!!

cant you get those k-jet lines with threaded fittings on the end anyway? If so you can get barbed adaptors and clamp the hose to that. After all, the supply/return lines on the 16v have barbed fittings just pressed in...

I've tried to get the barbed fittings but no one seems to do them that small a diameter! That would be ideal plug straight in and srew into the gauge!!!

if you can find a scrapped k-jet car, chop em out of the feed/return lines
