Hello Hello
« on: 28 April 2007, 03:35 »
Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum, this place looks very informative and i hope to spend a lot more time here in the future.

I'm currently driving a 2003 1.2 Ibiza which although has a pretty face it doesnt shift which is why I'm looking to get myself a mk2 gti. Originally was looking at the 16v but recently seen a local cheap 8v thats done 126k going for £500 so it's quite tempting.

If anyone could point me towards a thread that shows the differences between an 8v and a 16v it would be appreciated as I'm sure the topic has been discussed before, it's just I cant seem to find any!

Thanks,

Richie Lee

In fact dont worry about pointing me in the right direction, i just found a 57 page thread on the issue :p But yeah Mk2 Gti 8v black 3dr, apparently 126k miles £500. Decent? It's intended to be a project car at first but when it's in tip top condition I plan to use it as my daily driver.

hello and welcome

as for the 8v near you, sounds like a good price if its tidy, but if you can hold out for a 16v then I would do that to be honest  i have had two of them!
