Ive searched the site on this subject & im none the wiser!!! Hopefuly someone can help me!!
My golfs seems to have quite a bit of smoke on start up (cloud), then still smokes slightly, its had a new head gasket about 2 months ago, a few people have said valve stem oil seals could be worn? it only seems smokey when your not moving or atleast 1st & 2nd gear. The cars not using loads of oil & the coolant levels seems all good, i'm sure that when the head gasket got done the geeza adjusted something to do with the idle, could this be whats causing the smoke? I also need to replace an injector as it feels loose compared to the others, maybe this is part of my problem? Anyways thanks in advance, this forum has saved me many a time in the past! Oh its a 1986 5 dr gti (k-jet).
