mk3 golf cam belts

i think i need new belts (not the timing one) as mine are squeeqing like a gooden but i wasnt sure where the timing belt was and if i was to change them would i need to get it re-timed? also is it an easy job?

bit late, but the timing belt is on the left side of the engine and hidden by plastic coverings.  If you change the alternator and PAS belts you don't need to worry about the timing :)

The power steering belt and alternater belt are real easy to change.
There is a spring under the alternator you need to depress it to loosen then take the belt off. i usually jam a large screwdriver and use it as a leaver.
Powersteering belt is removed by loosening 4 bolts that hold the brack to the bottom end, do not undo the bolts holding the powersteering pump.
Once the bolts are undone slightly you will see a big nut with teeth, simply move this closer with the slack remove the belt.
Refit and tighten up job done.
