Hi my mk2 gti 8v is over fueling can any one help me with this problem

is it a digi or k-jet?
digi engines have a CO allen key head adjustment screw on top of the MAF (on top the air box), winding it clockwise seems to lean out the mixture.
well it did on mine earlier...

Digi's can have K&N's, the maf will be the silver box thing the filter attach's to.
If the cold start mechanism goes that'll cause too rich a mixture. On a digi its the blue temp sender needs replacing, not sure which one it is on a kjet.

its sorted now but when i start it up i need to rev it or it will cut out im not that boverd but can this be sorted out

all u need to do is adjust ur idle screw, its the little brass coloured one which is recessed on the front of your inlet manifold. wind it anti clockwise to increase idle speed.

new problem when the engine gets hot it runs fine at idle but when you rev it up nothing happens and it nearly cuts out can anyone help
