Hi again guys, thanks for the nice comments on my bike and car etc.
Well after selling my hillclimb/sprint mk1 7 years ago a suprise phone call from a long forgotten work colleague came the other day, it went a little something like this "Hello dave long time no speak this is$%^ Just a quick call really to say hello and pick your brains." "Hello buddy, sure what can i help you with" says i. "Well what it is,is were moving to france in about ten days and i,m trying to off load one or two bits and bobs and i wondered if you knew anybody that would be interested in them" "well if i cna help i will. What you got" I reply "Well theres my wives VR6 highline{which will probably be for sale on here in a week or so} and i.ve still got my MK1 in the garage aswell".So to cut a long story short i now have a mk1 gti to play with.I could'nt be more happy if i tried it needs some work, but basically i intend to build a trackday/ring toy out of it.Now after many years away from the scene i,m after some help in the engine direction and advice from anybody who runs a ABF engine. This is a sterling engine which drags my mk3 along lovely. So hopefully with abit of help from you guys i should be able to fire a nice toy together.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Dave.

Heres a couple of pics of my old mk1 sprint/hillclimb car.

I hope you guys like it.It was sold seven years ago as i couldnt drive it after my bike accident. Its new owner as restored it in a more modern "cruiser"[whatever that means] way.
