OK, the last few days i've spent on and off inbetween part time work colour coding my engine bay, removing any rust and making everything look shiny and pretty, along with new wiring / professional degrease including the engine & new pipes...
So today was.. fun and yet not so much fun.. put all the parts / pipes back on the engine and rewired the alternator & lots of other bits back in.. started her up and she fired first time
- always a good sign, anyway i was off to my local garage to get the alternator expansion bracket welded..
when i drive round the corner and.. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOF smoke belows out everywhere and starts filling the interior :O
Turns out my aching back had distracted me and I'd forgotten to tighten one bolt on the rocker cover.. (it was completely loose only just on the top threads..) the pressure had quickly built up and decided to bleed profusely all over my engine bay which i've just spent the last 5 days colour coding & professionally degreasing for the show season ahhhhHHhHhhhH!!!
back to square one again..
