Where's Rubjonny's help page on cold starting troubles?

Hi all,

I know there's loads of threads on here regarding cold start probs, so if someone can point me in the right direction for the above I'd be very grateful!

My car was degrading almost to the point of refusing to start, and with a lumpy idle when cold. My garage (I was getting pee'd off by now with other probs!) has checked the blue temp sender and cleaned the Idle valve, this has made a huge improvement, but it still isn't right. You can hear it missing slightly on idle and still doesn't start as well as it used to.

I cleaned all the earth points and cleaned the ecu plug but to no avail.

Strangley coincidental is that it has developed a noise similar to an exhaust manifold leak (my garage said they could find nothing wrong). Could it be connected to the above?
