you can do anything if you have the money,  you can pick up superchargers as fitted to the new mini cooper for just over 100 quid on ebay you would have to make new mounts pulleys ect, go for it good luck

thats true i was going to modifie my mk3 1.4 engine AEX and it can be done but the problem is that it was not designed for power vw designed all the models from 1.6 up to produce some sort of power until the mk4 1.4 16v and not the mk5 1.4tsi that produced 170bhp and 210bhp depending on the model

your better off getting a 1.4 16v engine put in and a retune the ecu that will give you a decent amount of power
