VW specialists with Mk2 experience in the NW

Does anyone know of any?
Been trawling though the yellow pages etc but not having much luck.
Besides, I'm a bit wary of those that just say VW and Audi specialist for example, as it doens't mean they necesarily know sh!t about the mk2s!
So if anyone has any personal recommendations please help me out as other garages I've tried have been useless and I'd really like a rebuild done soon but need someone I can trust and who knows what they're doing to do it!

know what you mean one round the corner from me sounded great till they didn't know what digifant was and said removing 2 seized 17mm bolts in rear bumper was a bodyshop job....
By NW do you mean Newcastle/middlesbrough?

Surely it is!
Anyway I'm North West and there really isn;t that many - I take mine to a local garage that I trust - he knows his stuff - been in the business for 30odd years so he's seen many makes etc..
Find something like this and shouldn't go far wrong!
There is a new VW specialist opend up on Newcastle - was featured in Golf+ a couple of issues ago - that may be close ebough for you??

Newcastle is NE and it's a bit far!
Anywhere around Liverpool, Manc, Sheffield, Preston, Brum etc is good.... worth travelling for something as important as a rebuild.
Didn't even think to look in the 'good guys' section, doh! Will have a look now

Didn't think they'd do stuff like rebuilds? Thought it was more modified/performace type stuff.
If it's 'from £59' for an oil and filter change I dread to think how much it would cost too!
