wheel confusion

ive recently bought a glof mk3 2l gti 16v, its a p reg and has 5 stud wheels! the problem is, im looking to buy a set of Compomotive TH-Mono 8x16" wheels, but im confused on wat the offset has to be and the size between the studs.
