The problem I'm having with a catch tank is getting the pipework to fit in Silicon but I'm on it!! once I crack it I might do an oil catch tank piping kit for valvers :D The amount I found when stripping down the engine must be choking the engines up and the power my airbox was about 3cm deep in oil!

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

...... just taped it up with self amalgamating tape and it's been alright ever since :)

What's this stuff, never heard of it. Can you pick it up anywhere?

its a tape that only bonds to itself, used to make a water tight joint in pipes cables etc... b&q will prob av it!

going to stick one of them pan scourer things into the oil breather - as the original thingy has long gone.

How big does it need to be - a full scourer?? Or does it need to be cut down a bit??

Also what stops it going into the engine???

serious? if it was me i'd buy one from german and swedish if vw was significantly expensive! sounds a bit too ghetto for me!

and a pan scourer is near enough the same thing???
