My local dealer still say they can get me one.  Its just the 12 - 16 week wait thats putting me off.  I'd ideally like a factory one as then I can pick and choose my options... but I've already sold my car and am currently driving a work van, and don't know if I could cope with it for 4 months!

I did see a few on VW last night with minimal miles - but even those ones are the same price as a new one - some are even more expensive.

There seem to be loads of R32's about just now.  Are all the R32 guys sick of the petrol economy of the R32 and changing to E30's since the performance isn't that much different?!  The R32 looks sweet, has xenons as standard, and only costs £2200 more.  I'd be tempted to go for one if it wasn't for the 25mpg compared to the E30's 36mpg.

I had an R32 and part-ex'd for an Edition 30.  The mpg was pi55 poor on the R32 but that's not what changed my mind.  I'm a GTI fan and the Edition 30 is a limited edition with decent power and thats why I changed - can always get an R32 again.

haha, well if you gonna buy one, better prepare yourself for a shock mate, daily town combined mileage will be about 27-28 mpg in the real world. Unless of course you live on a motorway slip road and you dont go into town that is. Standard GTi fuel figures are about +1 mpg xtra
