Vr6 Water pump.....

Hi all any one out there with a vr6 thats had to have a new water pump can you give me any info Ive been told that its an engine out job and Ive been quoted about £200 to do it the pump is around £30 but the rest is labour the garage says its a 6hr job. The garage is a vw specialists with a good reputation but i just wondered if any one has any info cheers....

Nar, it's defo not engine out job - you can pull the drivers side engine mount off and jack the engine up
