Whats it worth?
« on: 12 March 2007, 09:33 »
Hi,

I've got a mk3 Nreg gti 16v in dragon green. I'm thinking of selling it and was wondering how much its worth? Its got 122,000 miles on the clock, VR6 alloys and mk4 headlight conversion. The rear electric windows dont work. It has a FSH though. MOT 1 year and Tax 2 months.

Anyone any ideas as there seems to be a huge variation on places like autotrader!!

Cheers

I can't see it tipping the scales at anything more than £1200 They are no longer a rare car. Have you tried cleaning the conections for the windows it's generally dirt getting between the male/female connectors

Price is probably what Len suggest if its in great nick. I got my 8V R reg in Nov for £1200, needed a bit of work, 1 year MOT, 6month tax, FSH.

If yours is in good nick and you fix the lights, £1500 maybe more.

You could advertise on fleabay but beware the charges are a b!tch.

One suggestion is stick it on fleabay, put your number on so people can contact you, come and see it then sell it off the books for cash. Just say it didnt sell. ebay will definately increase the number of people that will see it.

I saw the same thing as you on the trader BTW, people asking 2500 for a piece of s**t that was rusting while good Mk3s for less or even more (3000+)
