Hi, the cold start injector is probably not working. Its on the RH end of the inlet manifold on the front of the engine. It has a fuel pipe and a (blue I think) electrical connector going to it and a rubber pipe as well. Its just below and in front the ISV as I recall......  It may not be the actual unit that's failed it could be the sender that feeds it the temperature reading, but so many I'm not sure which one but best check that first cos much cheaper to replace than the injector....Hope that helps.

cool i think your right and its that blue thing
i managed to start it from cold by pumping the throttle for a long while so i assume that the cold start valve is responsible for getting extra fuel in when needed.
Its not the battery rubjonny as its quite new and it will turn over for ever doesn't strugle to turn over at all.

it might be leaky injectors, does it help if you unplug it?

i managed to start it from cold by pumping the throttle

Pumping the throttle does nothing on the 16v, it does not have a throttle pump like a carb. If you turn it over long enough it probably will start due to flooding making the mixture rich enough......

or holding the throttle open allows enough air in to make up for the flooded cylinders ;)
