Valve guides 8v PB
« on: 23 January 2007, 21:49 »
Hey guys,

I'm having a go at porting and polishing my 8v head :nerd:. My mechanic did me a favour and took out the valves/springs for me, but does anyone know how to remove the valve guides please???

thanks

It is not something you can easily do at home. The old guides have to be bored out and the replacements pressed into the head.
Best left to an engineering shop.

They have to be heated up and pressed out and then while the head is hot the new ones pressed in.
