Fitting Foglights

Hey I have a  89 golf which I am wanting to fit foglights to, now the wiring is pre 90 spec, the car came with genuine big bumpers, 5 slat 4 lamp, its a july 89 build, now I wondered what I need to do with the wiring for the fog lights? Does the plug and play loom work? Or do I need to hardwire something in because there doesn't appear to be any wiring present. And the pre 90 spec weren't fitted with factory fogs were they?

the majority of the wiring is there, if you look under the expansion tank there should be a brown and a brown/white wire (i think) on a connector, you have to make up the rest of the loom to run down either side of the chassis legs to the fogs.
