Argh!!!! New GTI Delayed!!

I'm so peed off!!! My GTI has been delayed from tomorrow until next wednesday!!! All because of the registration document for my number plate!!

And finally the worst thing of all... I have to drive past it every day to get to work, seeing it from the road in all it's glory waiting for me to pick her up!! I'm so depressed.

The big day has finally arrived. Can't wait. Pick my new baby up at 10:30. If the weather improves during the day I will post some pics of her later. cheers now

Only now got home. Picked it up at 10:30 this morning and been cruising since. My expression all day =  . One thing that does need improving is the stereo. It is quite bad in comparision to my Harmon Kardon system previously in my MINI. Anyone have any suggestions?

Change the speakers. If still bad change the head unit. Not much else to change unless you want to fill it with subs!

Is it free from the usual bug bears that have been reported?

I'm not aware of any issues with the sound system. What speakers do you recommend? I don't want to fill the car with subs and I don't want to cut my parcel shelf to fit 6 X 9's or anything like that. I just want it looking tidy but with an improved sound. Does anyone know what VW's upgrade is like?

If you go on ebay, you can buy rear sound acoustic parcel shelves for about £50 to fit the mk 5 gti, rather then cutting holes in it. Dont "chav" the gti to much my friend. Keep an eye at passing motorists giving you and your wheels a long look at. Hope you enjoy the car as much as 100% of the peeps on here already are.

I'd try to find direct replacement speakers. Listen to them all in halfords then buy mail order!
