undecided wheels!!!!!!!
« on: 08 January 2004, 13:57 »
I have a 96 mk3 golf gti and im considering which wheels to put on, im undecided on either RS6 17" audi alloys or 17" TT alloys. Any of you boys got either of these on you motors? If you have any pictures that can help me in my final decision, would be most appreciated. :)

There is a nice red mk3 in the gallery on 17" TT (if they are the ones I think you are talking about)

To be honest I'm not too sure what the pcd is, I'm in a similar situation as you and am looking around for some. I found a couple of places, one is selling four 17" wheels and "budget" tyres (not sure what these might be) for ?620. But at the same place I have seen the same wheels in 18" with Avon rubber for ?720 so I would guess the 17" with the Avon would fall somewhere in between.

Depends on whether your bothered about the tyres I guess. There's loads of places, check the VW mags (the golf, Performance VW, etc) they usually have plenty of places offering them in there.

Let me know how you get on! ;)

The ride quality suffers a bit when running 17s on a Mk3, but they look the mutt's nuts.
