turbo mk3 2.0l 16v 1994
« on: 28 December 2006, 20:38 »
as promised my conversion for the above lump i am not a VW specialist or related to any of the websites i am about to metion i have posted before on this web site but finally have found some answers to this engine due to the people here i expect to get a mass slagging but heh you can only but try i have not come back to this site for three month only to prove a point
yes the abf engine is turbo proof but only if you take the following precautions ie low comp pistons or sandwich the head gasket as in turboing you need to take the compression down to at least 7:5:1 with out causing pistion faluire.
next the only exhaust manifold which is avalible(as far as i know) is from a company called ATP in the states they can supply 90% kit for this turbo escapade
they will supply you with a turbo charger GT32RS £840.60
an expensive option as long as you have  T34 or KKK flanged you can do away with this
the sump return for the turbo is cheap amd gasket  at £14.61 as are the gaskets for sump.
as are head exhaust and inlet manifold gaskets
the ecu engine will handle a remap
as in 024BE 024AB 024G OR 024GX THIS IS ALL THE CODES FOR ABF ENGINES
