Have always found demon tweeks to be expensive though.

Try Larkspeed.

If anyone knows of BBS replica types I will have a look, wont complain about saving cash

Basically, I went to an alloy place at the weekend and the BBS where the only ones I liked - like the RX, RXII's and RK as well.

I went to look at BK299 but didnt fancy them when I saw them next to the car, didnt think they suit the car a bit too bling. I find its the same with a lot of styles, I looked at some ACE ones and they were OK but too over the top as well.

All I can say is its not easy choosing alloys, looking at them next to your car without a tyre on isnt easy THEN they either dont fit are too big

I've seen some of these on a mk3 in 17" and they look shweeeet, similar to your BBS but much cheaper

They are ASA AR1's

Not sure if you can get plain silver, I think the black centres look slick though!

I seem to remember them being £550 with tyres in 17"

AMD remap
Milltek Cat-back exhaust
18" BBS RC's
Eibach 30mm Springs with Boge Shocks

I just checked Larkspeed and they are doing the BK299's for £625 in chrome and £535 in silver. Thats with medium priced tyres - 205/40/17's

Hmmmm and the gold ones at £559!!!!! Thats got me thinking!

Cheers for that stomper, they look pretty sweet !

Len, go on buy them you know you want to.    OR how about these instead:

The only trouble is you will definately need arch work but I think they look effing smart. Will have a look in the flesh ASAP.

A guy I spoke to a japcars.co.uk said you can have your arches rolled to fit these, snip the inside of the arch or stretch the tyres (put on a 215) instead of a 225 to make em fit.

Oh yes!    major homer simpson

Shame they only do the gold in 18's! Plus that getting up near to Compomotive CXN prices!

Nah think i'll stick to the BK299's

Hi all,

I have recently put a set of 18" Wolfrace Spyders on my mk3 GTI 5 door had a little arch work done and they are still rubbing.

Any ideas where they would still be catching and what work I will need done to sort this?

I was also going to put a set of coilovers on lowering the car 40mm at the minimum setting but this would stiffen it up and maybe fix the problem any ideas will be very helpfull

Cheers Pete

HI Mate,

They are 8inch
I do not know the ET how do you get this info?
I had to use 5mm spacers on the front to clear the caliper.
