Heated Wing Mirrors
« on: 17 January 2004, 12:42 »
Noticed this morning that my 5dr doesn't have the Heated wing mirrors that my previous 3dr had  :(

The mirrors were really misty and frozen this morning, the rear window demisted fine but the mirrors stayed misty all the way to work.  Never thought I'd take heated mirrors for granted.  (The mirror knob button was in the centre)

Anybody know if I can get them upgraded to be heated either by myself or by the vw garage???

Cheers

They're demisting alright.  It's obvious now as on my old MK4 they demisted within a few minutes, but today on my newer Mk4 they didn't demist at all, and the mirror control button was in the centre by the o.

I've got the winter pack on mine, this does not include heated mirrors as these are standars GTi and above, Winter pack adds heated seats, heated washer jets and headlight washers,  easiest ay is to remove glass and lok bhind it for element.  really if you have'nt got them , then heated mirrors  really aer'nt worth it anyway.  i would much rather a heated rear screen that turns itself off, instead of me realising 50 miles doen the road that it is still on, can't be healthy for it
