272 last time I had it dyno'd. Havn't had it done since I fitted the intercooler. Need to get it done again to see if it made any difference

Komenda,
272,,I like,,, torque? Also, how long did it take you to fit the intercooler?

Torque was 294. Not expecting much of a difference in power from the intercooler, just a precaution really to keep the temperaturedow n as much as possible.

I collected my GTi last week, been driving everywhere just for the sake of it to get some miles on it. Not really had time to post anything on here till now.
I did briefly consider the ED30, but having seen both i prefered the look of the GTi, interior, wheels and the bumpers.
It's each to their own but i honestly think the unpainted parts look really good, nobody is going to confuse a GTi with a 1.6FSi, because the bottom of the bumper is unpainted, but i personally couldn't care if they did.
The way things are going with the amount of ED30's being sold and people colour coding GTi's the original GTi's will soon become the more exculsive of the two.

....You make a good point. I'm sure that in time (probably many years) the totally original Mk5 GTI's will be more sought after just as 'original' Mk1 & 2's are now.

As a designer, I never liked the deep black rear bumper on my red GTI and when I was offered in 2005 one of the first Milltek quad exhausts it was a no-brainer but then meant I had to change the rear valance....Which in turn eventually meant colour coding the sides and then front.
