plastic sill trim is a peeler..

eny one had eny probs with the plastic sill trim. got my new gti in sep after waiting 10 weeks. 3 days after the trim starterd to peel of the car. got a new one fitted after waiting 5 weeks. last week its started to come off again. gettin a new one next week 20th dec. they asked me do i jet wash it. no. But that should make no diiffrence if i did. enyone had this problum???.

no , i always jet wash never Carwash and it tends to knacker the paint and any trims. how does the trim attact to the lower sill, plastic pop rivit, self adhesive pads?,sounds abit suspect my friend

its the plastic that swupps up at the end thats cummin off. when you look down the gap they are just stuck on with strips of tape about 5mm thick but about 1inch of the top of the plastic. see wot happens on weds when it goes back.
