heater - cold air only!

hi! im goin to have a look at a mk2 GTi on friday but apparently the heater only blows out cold air... is this bad or can it be recitified without breakin the bank? im not scared to get my hands dirty ;) but dont wanna mess about with it every weekend

before soeone else shouts at you, do a search, its also in the maintenance section, is to do with valves tat were fitted as part a of a recall which fail  :smiley:

its usually either a knackered heater matrix or bypass valve, there is a recent thread here that may be usefull : http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=52109.0

Very common prob unfortunately, my prev mk2 had the same problem and i think my Corrado is getting the same prob too!
