Is the front wet at all? If so, check all your front bulkhead grommets........water could be running along something like your bonnet release.........into the car and whats worse, if it is the bonnet release, over your fuse-box :o >:(

Make sure scuttle drains are clear.

Are you losing any coolant?

Check the windscreen seal at the bottom of your 'A' pillars.

If the front isn't wet, then check the bottom of your door cards, make sure they aren't wet.........if so the membrane needs repairing/replacing.

Whats the boot carpet like? Could be coming in through a poor seal with the rear lights.

IT'S ON DRIVERS SIDE. BOOT IS DRY, THINK IT MIGHT BE COMING PAST SCRAPPER SEALS ON FRONT DOOR THEN RUNNING OUT AT BOTTOM OF DOOR THROUGH THE RECESS 3/4 THE WAY ALONG BOTTOM OF DOOR STRAIGHT INTO REAR FOOTWELL. I HAVE NO MEMBRANES ON DOORS, PASSENGER SIDE IS DRY? FRONT OF FOOTWELL IS WET BUT THE BACK IS ABOUT 1/2" DEEP!!!

You need to fix the membranes as the scraper seals, even in good condition, won't stop all the rainwater getting in.

There have been several previous posts about this so try a search, you should find some useful info.

I had the same problem recently but in the back footwell and under the seat. It turned out to be the door membrane was not sealed properly and the drain holes had bunged up.

Check the bottom of the door and also I think there are some in the bottom of the chassis but have not looked there yet hehe

I would get that sorted sooner rather than later mate
i had a leak through the windscreen and it blew my fuse box
that was a dear do
also if the carpet stays wet for to long the matting underneath will start to hum
check the seals are stuck on the door all the way round
thats the trouble with owning a twenty year old motor
good luck

Buy some talc/baby powder and dust it all over your carpet. The water coming in will wash the talc away leaving a trail and allow you to trace the source of the leak. You can hoover up any left over talc.
Good luck  ;)
