Opening rears, what's needed?
« on: 31 October 2006, 23:43 »
Seen a few pictures recently of cars with opening rear windows on MK2's obviously, what's needed to do this?

Cheers

A keen eye on ebay!
sorry.. you need the windows the catches, and I think that some of the interior trim is also required, other than that I'm sure its a straight forward job.. pretty rare though in the UK, have a look on German ebay

haippach(sp?) is the maker of these, but they stopped doing them ages ago.  Quite rare to find, and when they do come up expect to pay £200+, more if you find a green tinted set!

happich... i have a set! :smug: can't see what the complainst would be.. probably shrunken seals but thats due to age. i bought mine brand new a few months ago after several months of looking and being let down by various sellers. truthfully they aren't a life altering mod, i just wanted a set after having some years ago. they are nice when cruising on a hot summers day though
