Beesting ariel

hey ppl, wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem........
Just fitted my pioneer 6800mp with ext 6 disc cd and ext ipod player.... :smiley:
Only problem is that im not getting the best of reception with the ariel, its a beesting ariel and on the back of the HU the ariel wire has a blue wire coming off it aswell, but i dont know where to connect this to, (if i have to). Im getting choicefm and kiss, cant get capital and MW just dont work at all.

Anyone got any ideas???????

The beesting aerials have some kind of signal amplifier in them I think. Sounds like yours may not be connected.

Yep it sounds like the blue wire will have to be connected to +12v.
Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

ok kool thanks guys ill try it, im just scared of putting 12v's through it if it isnt!!! lol
one other question, ever sinced i connected my stereo when im driving and put my for on the petrol pedal, i hear a strange noise coming from my odometer, a crackling noise, almost like somethings sparking in there, any ideas?

beasting ariels arnt designed to give the best of reception, they are more on the styling side of things rather than good reception...i read this on a website that sells them and it is also stated there (i will search for the link) but i have found this out with listening to the quality after installing these and also been in cars that have had them properly wired in from halfrauds
