 as for working on cars just go for it ,  i been lucky there have always been cars around me , sure i could say ferrari before mummy , plus ive done an apprentiship , just do loads of readin anyhtin y can get ya hands on , magazines books , allsorts , dont have to read cover to cover like you have to learn, just have a nosey now n again youd be surprised how much ya learn

nope not a mechanic i just learnt on my car. never really was 'into' cars until i got my golf. the way i looked at it was, i've got common sense, logic and am pretty practical. if you take something off in a specific order, it has to go back on in that order. plus i think i'm tight! i figured if i did something myself i save the labour charges if i get it wrong i'll then pay to get it put right.
i started with easy stuff and never had a problem so got more confident. at the end of the day its nuts and bolts, if you think about it and have a haynes manual or something to steer you in the right direction there SHOULDN'T be too much that can go wrong.....

Really cant wait to get a golf :> and do things to do it lol... going to start with the grill  :smiley: changes the full car then get alloys then i want a engine dress up don't know how to get it or what but ill try  :grin:

So... Joe do you do Upholstery if i had recardo seats and wanted them in full lether how much would you charge me  :laugh: :tongue: and i had bought the lether (Seats & Doorlining)
