steering wheel / alarm

hi
purely from a security point of view, has anybody ever come across a way of fitting a detachable steering wheel to a mk1 golf?
also - anybody know of a good alarm system to fit to these cars - my current one is a bit primitive.
thanks

Hi!
Think its a simple case of buying a boss that fits ur car,a snap off boss which fits onto the previous boss and onto ur steering wheel.Priced them at halfords for about ?100-?150,plus ur wheel on top. There is a thread about this somewhere in the garage section which mite explain it abit clearer!
As for the alarm,go clifford.Check out the prices n different makes,n chose a one that suits!

Hope this helps!
