If you cant afford the seals just yet, buy a car cover.
Not very sexy i know, but when the sun comes out, what would you rather be driving around in?
I was lucky enough to get one of these covers for christmas, handy until i can find a decent roof! ;)

Heres another thought!
Pop down to your local newsagents and flick through the classic car mags,
in the back there are a couple of places that supply new rubber seals for restoration projects.
I think they do free catalogues and you can check the profiles by asking for samples.
You may not get an exact match, but if it does the job at a fraction of VAG prices-BINGO!
Classic car mags? Bingo? Im starting to live upto my name "Old_boy" ;D
