16v Water Temp senders
« on: 05 January 2004, 15:18 »
you know the 4 that are on the outlet elbow on the side of the block

3 are spade and one is a 2pin

ive heard that the 3 spade can be interchanged? can anybody confirm this?

basically my ISV aint working and ive tried everything so i was thinking that one of the temp senders is knackered, i was just gonna test each of them by swapping them and then see if the dash temp guage still reads

is this ok to do??

Cheers,
Craig

Nail type sensor in the back of the head : oil temp
blade type sensor , on the right side of the flange: water temp
blade type sensor, on the left side of the flange : nothing, cylinder head temp maybe and will poss swap with the other as the part# on mine are the same.
Brown or poss white two pole sensor :thermoswitch controlling the cold start injector.
Hope this helps,
Steve.
