Not stay started!!!

I've a Mk2 Golf Gti and have just done an oil change. Now the damn thing will not stay started!!!!! It keeps cutting out when ever I dip the clutch. Not good when you have PAS and loads of mini roundabouts.

Anyone have any ideas, been trying to find air leaks ect but no luck.

Odd one, assume it was running fine before you carried out the oil change. Guess you must have disturbed something, as you say maybe a vaccuum line.

Yeah it was running fine before, went to Notts and back over Christmas. Cgecked all the vacuum pipes and all seem to be OK.
It does start and idle OK(ish) but when I slightly rev the engine then then it dies. I di notice the dizzy cap and arm where crusty white so will replace them tomorrow. I sort of suspect the idle vale though. Have had to replace it before but got a second hand one
