Good suspension setup??
« on: 27 September 2006, 08:30 »
Been looking through a wad of reciepts that came with my Golf. I found out it has Bilstien shocks with Eibach lowering springs. Also has Eibach front and rear roll bars that live under the car. The previous owner has spent a lot of money on all this stuff, is it any good? Im very happy with the handling of the car, far better than my old GTE 16v with Koni's and front and rear strut braces!

Not bad at all mate, you should get some Koni dampers to go with the eibach springs, that is one of the best setups for a mk2.

what you have is perfect. koni & bilstein are equally good shocks

only thing left really would be a top strut brace & maybe replace all suspension bushes with polybush items

Sounds a good setup mate
Me and Rubjonny helped strip a 16v and the owner was just a tad happy after we spotted it had eibach front and rear arbs
