60,000 Service, Cambelt and Brake Fluid Change

Good Morning guys.

Just about to pick up my car from the dealer tomo after its cambelt and tensioner change, 60k service and brake fluid change. The price is £600!!
How does everyone feel about this price for all this work, have i got a good deal? It is from a main dealer?

What should have been changed in the 60k Serivce? I asked them not to do the air filter as i have a kn panel. I just want to make sure everything in the service has been done, a list of these things would be cool.

they also found a traffic management fault on my navi, and fixed it apparntly - but they didnt say what that was or what it does? any ideas??! weird!?

the car is a GT TDI 130 btw...

that might not be far off unfortunately.  £300 of that will be on your cambelt and tensior.

not entirely sure what else is included.  I'll have a look at my service book in a bit and let you know.

make sure they haven't charged you to fix your navi unit as they haven't asked for your permission for the work to be carried out.

they don't call them stealers for nothing unfortunately

i just got my 60k full lube service done last week at gilbert lawton
it cost £116 and they also fixed the rear washer that aint been working for months and they fixed a panel that was loose underneath
i did have to wait about 2.5 hours but at that price i dont mind 

oh and when i got my cambelt etc done the other month it was £289 and that was from a dealer

That is a very good deal on the Cambelt and tensioner replacement - the tensioner wheel is £40 quid plus VAT. Labour is 2.9 hous plus VAT.

Dealers arround the Birmingham area charge £79.50 per hour plus VAT WHICH IS ....wait for it.......£93.41 per hour. The AUM and AUQ engines have an Audi  cambelt part number and are about £23.50 each. The tensioner wheel is made in Japan ? huh

£116 for the Oil servce and plugs is great. Bear in mind though, you get ordinary Plugs and boggy standard Oil at that price. Never the less, good value.

As others around here - if you drive them hard, you have to be on-top of the maintenance.
