BBS RA
« on: 18 August 2006, 20:41 »
Hi, I know the vast majority of BBS RA's are 15"x6.5j, but I'm sure I have been told that there was a 15" BBS RA with a width of 7j, but really really rare, am I right? I have seen two pairs of BMW BBS wheels 15"x7j (links below) and they look very similar to the RA, does anybody know if these are in fact RA's and if so the same as the 7j VW BBS RA? Also, where could I get adapters from for the 5 stud BBS wheels in the links? Cheers

The BMW BBS wheels are nothing like the RAs. RAs have no bolt cover and a small (5cm ish) centre cap. The beemer BBS have a big cover that matches the spoke pattern and fake centre nut - neither of the ebay items show them. If you want the BMW BBS wait till a set from an E30 3-series come up as they are a straight fit on 4 styd hubs. But unless they are very cheap leave any sets that don't come with the centre caps, they go for £50+a set on Ebay and new ones go for £30 each!! There have been threads about 7" RAs but I don't recall anyone saying they actually have them. I've got RAs on mine and they do look a little skinny. I've also got a set of E30 BBS but no centra caps :undecided:

Recardo has a set on his MK2, they look identical to normal BBS, but with a deeper dish. As you say, very rare!
