Central Locking?
« on: 20 August 2006, 18:29 »
Is there any way I can tell if my car has CL or not? Seller said it has but obviously not working!
Just picked her up-1986 MK2 16v, has electric windows, sunroof, no pas. Was it an optional extra or standard on 16v?
Think I'll try and find a spec difference list-must be one on here somewhere.

look under passenger seat rear cluster (inside) and if there's something wrapped in foam then it has and is not functioning.

If not then it hasn't.

N/S/R light cluster(open the boot and pull back the pannel under the light cluster) big lump of foam with a pump inside.

easier way, open the petrol flap.  If it has a metal pin on it which goes into the bodywork, yes it should have factory cl :)

then either not factory c/l or the flap has been replaced with non-cl one...
