m.o.t....FAIL!

HI  all mega failure on the old girl......


corroded brake pipes, leaky caliper (rear), park brake efficency down too 13% :sad:
exhaust emissions  excessive. :sick:
oh and something very odd with the lights too.....lights on indicators on left hand side and they flash alternatley :shocked:

any ideas on the lights would be gratefully recieved..lol

check all your fuses, i had a fuse go and my dash light dimmer was controlling my rear number plate lights, changed the fuse and it was all good again. failing that it might b an earth/bulb/relay.

just been down to my local vw workshop, they reckon its a bad earth.......corrossion maybe?

take the passenger side boot trim off, you'll see the earthing point for the rear lights.  Clean this up and check all the connections on the rear lights for corrosion :)

cheers rubjonny, spot on as usual..........when i  put a better condition boot lid on id disconnected  the wiring  and must have  only re-connected two of the three earth wires.
