stainless exhaust
« on: 20 August 2006, 12:37 »
I have recently bought a used stainless back box for my 91 16v golf. I then bought a brand new system to match up. The problem is the back box is slightly blowing out. Should i get this welded or return it and buy a brand new(very expensive)one?

Thanks for your advice but can any welder do it or does it have to be a specialist?

Right, got it welded with a tig welder and it worked perfectly. Am slightly surprised that the rest of the scorpion system wasn't 100% easy to fit due to slight differences in the width of the pipe at the joins. Any body else experienced this?

u would want a slight difference tbh so that one tube can slide over the other lol if u get difficulties to get it to seal get some of the exhaust clips from vw (off a pissrat i think) they are hardcore and sorted mine out a treat
