The only person that I know on here that's ever had coilovers on a cab is AdamB and he's not on here much these days but he had FK's on his. You may want to ask this in another section like the garage or mk2 as a few on here will have coilovers on different marques.

I guess you need to ask why you want coilovers, is it so you can lower it for a show for example or is it for the performance ? They are supposed to be a really harsh ride and a lot of people recommend a static setup of Eibach springs and koni shocks with say a 40mm drop.
......now officially dubless.

oh right.... cheers fellas.

i was lookin at coilovers cause im well picky with how low i like my cars, (on my 4th set of lowering springs on current car cause i was never happy haha) and now its easily lowered more than 60mm, so a hard ride isnt a problem. was just thinkin about the flexability to lower it as much or as little as i want to get the perfect look

i have H+R coil overs on my mk1 cabriolet, im picky about the height and they`re great for adjusting till they`re just right, i have 17"s on aswell, the ride can be abit harder than fixed suspension but u have to sacrifice looks sumtimes, they come with gas struts as apposed to oil filled. http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/Cat1.htm
i`ve herd of air ride suspension for some vw`s, adjust your height with the touch of a button, that sounds kool.  good luck mate !
