MK3 Golf Brake problem! Help!!

Hey all
Can anyone advise me please..
At the mo changing the rear discs & pads on my MK3 97 Golf GTI and got a  bit stuck
anyone know how to wind in the pistons on the rear calipers?
We have tried as it says in the haynes manual, "turn them in clockwise" but they just go around and not inwards??...

Any suggestions greatly apperciated

I think you have to put some pressure on them as you turn .

Make sure you take your reservoir cap off first or you can do damage to the system. Also if they turning they should be moving inwards, but it takes a long time as they only go inwards really slowly! At least thats what I found when I did them!!

If you havent got access to the proper tool, then perhaps you may have a G clamp?

It really does need both pressure and turning.

got a tool to do it today in halfords £20.. lets hope it does the trick and get my car sorted in time for Bugjam

NEVER use a g-clamp on the rear brake calipers, damage will almost certainly occur.
