Hello all have now ventured back into the world of VW after 9 year of BMW's - 325 conv/ M3 evo/ 330 conv sport.
Before that I had a VR6 golf, it was great but the most unreliable car I have ever owned.

I have just bought a 05 Golf GTI 5 door in Shadow blue metallic with grey leather, 6k on the clock.
I don't know much other spec as I bought it over the phone after having a quick drive the day previous, and cannot remember the spec.
I am currently overseas an eagerly await the 3 weeks till I go home so I can have a shot

I was very impressed, with the power delivery

Any things to watch out for ???
I don't like the having to blip it twice to get the doors open

hi there and welcome to the forum...

i think you can alter the door locking issue via Vag-com, im not sure with mk5's though

Mk4 GT TDi::RS4's::weitec coilies::RCCR::polo mirrors::cream leather::
MK1 1.5 GL Auto restoration....coming along slowly :-(
its not the winning that gives me pleasure....its the taking apart

hello and welcome

sometimes that can be annoying with the whole press it twice thing! at my old work they have mark 5 tdi's as fleet cars so i drove them alot and that central locking used to do my nut in!  :laugh:
