Call me crazy people

But I cant help getting sleepless nights that somewhere in the not too distant past I remembered reading about a South African company or something like that making and building new Cars that where in the same shape as the Golf Mk2... Offering various different options such as Air Conditioning and GTi Models...

Is this true or has anyone else herd of this... I did search the forum but couldnt find anything of the sort..

Varify if its me who is crazy or am I sane?

they make a mk1 golf which they call a citigolf, it has a mk5 polo dash and only comes in 4 door. there is a link to it on here somewhere but i don't know it!

they are quite a nice car, but then im biased as bloke as one and they are a mk1..
u may find it hard to get sum parts as some need to be ordered from south africa..but if u did need them details, im sure i know a man who knows them

They have stopped making these now sadly, Danbury campers were the importer of these in to the uk.  They do have some used ones though, check em out   http://www.beetles-uk.com/index.shtml
