GTI specification - where to find??

Can anyone point me in the direction of a website or document which lists the changing specification for the MK2 GTI year by year.

Well basically the GTI started with the k-jet injection, then got the digifant system, and there was the 16v.  The basic equipment stayed the same throughout the model history.  The later 16vs got 256mm brakes, bigger servo, a roof aerial and half tint rear clusters, as did the very last run-out 8vs. 

Leccy windows, PAS and all the other 'toys' were always optional extras except on limited edition or run out models which generally got alot of toys thrown in.

Power steering was one of the things i wanted to know about. I had thought that all GTIs after 1990 had PAS.

At least i will know to ask from now on.

NNo VW is as tight as can be, my 90 didn't have PAS from the factory though it does now
