HI THANKS,

WITHOUT PREDUDICE - I KNOW ITS ASHLEY'S FAULT NOT YOURS BUT....

WHETHER OR NOT YOUR SUPPLIER WILL TAKE THE WORTHLESS PILE OF S**T BACK IS
NONE OF MY CONCERN, THE MANIFOLD CLEARLY WASN'T MADE TO COMPLY WITH ANY
KIND OF QUALITY STANDARD AS IT DOESN'T FIT!!! - THEREFORE I AM FULLY ENTITLED
TO A FULL REFUND WHICH I SHALL CLAIM VIA MY BARCLAYCARD IF NECESSARY.

NOTE: I HAVE OBVIOUSLY TRIED TO FIT THE MANIFOLD IN ORDER TO FIND THAT IT
DOESN'T FIT!!!!! (I'M SURE YOU AND THE IDIOT I SPOKE TO AT ASHLEY ARE FULLY
AWARE OF THIS) HOWEVER IT HAS NOT BEEN USED (IT DOESN'T FIT!!!) - I ALSO
DON'T KNOW HOW THEY EXPECT TO RE-SELL AS IT DOESN'T FIT!!!!

THANKS AGAIN AND SORRY TO PUT YOU IN THE MIDDLE (PERHAPS YOU SHOULD RE-THINK
YOUR SUPPLIERS)
REGARDS
J.

P.S. I'VE JUST REALISED I WROTE ALL THAT WITH "CAPS LOCK" ON - I WASNT SHOUTING
BUT I CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO TYPE IT ALL AGAIN.

:undecided: Guess all I can do now is wait

Basic Consumer Law - its something your company should probably read up on!!!

http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/your-rights/fs_c04.shtml
http://www.uknetguide.co.uk/Shopping/Article/Your_Consumer_Rights.html
http://www.consumeraffairs.govt.nz/consumerinfo/cga/faultygoods.html

I expect a full refund & to be reimbursed the cost of returning the faulty
goods

"Your refund must come from the supplier ? the shop where you bought the
item ? not the wholesaler or the manufacturer. If you are returning faulty
goods by post, you are not obliged to do so at your own expense unless you
have previously agreed to do so."

regards
Jason.

well it's only my 2 pennies worth, but I reckon you ought to cut them a bit of slack - it's probably just a standard thing they tell all people who've got returns. I know with all the PC equipment returns I've ever had to deal with they say the same thing. And in most cases, I'm pretty lazy and have chucked the manufacturer's packing away etc, and I've never had cause to get arsey about it...

Think you shoulda waited till they got funny (of indeed IF they got funny) before quoting law etc to them, it will only make them not want to deal with you.... And remember, you could really do with them acting on your side, as they have your dosh....

They were funny with me from the moment I called to tell them it didn't fit, tried to pass me off onto Ashley Exhausts (this is illegal) and were totally unhelpful

I had to quote the law to them as they clearly don't know it themselves  hopefully they'll of read up a bit now before I call back

I've checked them out on google-earth the head office is a house on what appears to be a council estate and from what I can make out their office is in a field!!!! - DODGY AS FOOK
